Couple more concepts

Glen submitted this with inspiration from the red thirds during the 'Goathead' years.

And WD brought this one to real life using the old Buffalo Bisons script on a current third jersey replica. Looks good.

This is getting to put the Sabres in a difficult spot because many of us are setting the Sabres up for the possible ride in their parade float around Failtown. Reason being there have been so many great concepts and ideas already out there for public viewing and now that I know that the 'Buffalo Bisons' script isn't going to be used, I personally expect to be disappointed and maybe others will too when we see the baseball-type script show up on September 18th.

I like the look of the mock-up, but man is that a bad knock-off jersey that he started with.

Let me get this straight. The team listens to the fans and decides to go with the old logo full-time. They also decide to introduce a 3rd sweater that is devoid of bad logos, awkward diagonal striping, and, by all accounts thus far, sounds remarkably similar to the very-popular 3rd sweater introduced by the Wild last year. And you're already preparing yourself to not like it? Why be so negative?

After the atrocity that was the Goathead era, even if the new "script" logo is only evocative of the Bisons rather than a direct copy, it's still a vast improvement. For the first time in 14 years this team will look good on the ice for all 82 games next year.

I'm honestly surprised nothing has leaked yet.

Dave,

I gotta apologize, I think I've been pretty cranky for no reason. Plus I was incorrect about the Buffalo Script...my source corrected me...it's not script, so I was thrown off by the intricate details. He told me the wordmark is "similar" to the old school look. I'm definitely happy, but as of right now, this new 40th is only a one year deal, my source also said the slug may be in reserve as the third alternate. Either way, the slug is in a reduced role and that is a good thing. Indeed, the Sabres will be looking great for all 82 games this season.
